Sixth Grade Handbook
This was included in the Parent Packet that was distributed on Orientation Night. For your convenience I’m attaching a copy of it here. It contains important information about subject and Friday folders, class planners, accessing RenWeb to track student grades, as well as our grading policy.

Class Policies
Phones and Smartwatches
Per school policy personal phones and smartwatches are not permitted to be accessed in the classroom. These items are to be kept in the student’s backpack throughout the day. Upon morning arrival students must put these in their backpacks before leaving the Social Center/lobby area.
Cosmetics and Fragrances
Students may not apply cosmetics in the classroom. Any personal cosmetics, brushes, mirrors, etc. will be kept in their backpack. Fragrance items such as perfumes, lotions, scented hand sanitizer, etc. are not permitted to be applied in the classroom due to adverse health impacts on others students such as those with asthma.
Backpack Storage
Backpacks will be kept in the student’s personal cubby throughout the day and may be accessed when needed. They may not be kept by the student’s desk in order to alleviate congestion in aisle ways which creates a safety hazard.
Fieldtrip Info
We are planning field trips for our class this year. The first will be on September 24 to the Westview Orchards. Attached is the permission form which must be turned in with payment before September 13.
